June 2016 It's been a crazy week.

Sounds like youth conference was fun.  Thanks for the pictures.  I got the package with the pennywhistles.  Thanks for the m&ms.  It's been a crazy week.  Everyone decided they wanted to see us during our planning time, so the rest of the week we were playing catch-up.
We had new missionary training and it talked a lot on the importance of making sure our investigators are praying, going to church, and reading the scriptures.  Another thing there stressing the importance of is making sure you have a testimony and are converted before you can help other people.  I really like that.

On Saturday Sister Sutten took a convert to the temple for her endowment!!  Next week Pday will be on the 5th because of the forth of July.

Tell Josh happy birthday for me.  Also I realized that I didn't remember Ammon's email and as such forgot to tell him happy birthday.  Sorry.  Congrats on teaching 3rd grade! .

I was going to go to the temple but ended up going on last minute exchanges with Sister Bell.  We helped a less active with her laundry.  She's a hoarder and we're trying to help her get rid of her excess cloths.  She gave me a vintage dress that I had on this Sunday.  It's really nice.

Getting into the routine

 June 20 2016

Hi  Mom. I think I left my penny whistles in my black messenger bag in Calvin's bathroom. I got the pillow and jewelry sorter.  My companion was about to go buy a new pillow because there was only one good one between the two of us so it was well received. The letter Josh sent me also said don't die.  Made my day.  This week in sacrament I played Love at Home on the violin with Sister Minic.  Her family has four or five violins and there letting me borrow the one they got from a pawn shop.  When I met the singles ward bishop, after I introduced myself, he said "And I here your a violinist."  I see a lot of musical numbers in my future.

I cant remember if I told you last time, but because we have the Sharpsburg and YSA wards we have church at the 9:00 and 1:00 blocks.  Even though we have the same lessons in both, I get different things out of it and different insights form different people.

We do have investigators and a few what my companion calls internigators (people making slow progress).  One of them is a chatty Cathy and is constantly looking stuff up on her own.  She read about eternal marriages and wants that.
Someone we just found while trakting is supper into family history, and wants to know more about why Mormons do family history.
Another investigator is reading the Book of Mormon and researching everything. We really have to do our homework with him and that's helping me grow as well.
there's a few more but I'm running short on time.

In the ward news letter they like to have who the missionaries in the area are and what we like.  I mentioned that I did karate and in the letter it was bolded with exclamation points.
So far I haven't had any fried food.  Most people in this area work at delta airlines so they're not necessarily from the south.  I have had authentic Indian (from India) food and Mexican from a YSA member that served in Mexico.

This week we had zone conference.  It took most of the day and talked about letting the spirit  teach and how to get families to pray.   Lunch was chicken salad sandwiches and homemade chocolate chip cookies.  Sister Sutten had chicken salad wraps and chocolate covered mangoes.
I sent Dad a father's day card.  Let me know how the post office does this time.

Love
 Britney

Mission Home

 June 13 2016
I'm doing good, just finished reading emails.  I found a ring that looks like it's carved out of an antler that I'm thinking of sending.
On the flight to Atlanta I sat next to someone who slept the entire trip and someone with headphones in.  I took the opportunity to take a nap
I'm in Sharpsburg Georga.
We live in a basement of someone in the relief society presidency, I can't remember what here exact calling is.  There's a trail in her backyard that leads to a lake that we have permission to walk around.  The magnolia trees are in bloom. There are squirrels everywhere.
Find out if I should send a report of the different birds I see or if that will just drive Dad nuts.   I keep seeing a jay in the yard, bright blue, black mask, white chest.
I saw two cardinals, one of our new investigators builds birdhouses and enjoys watching them.

Also on the trail in our backyard we found big metal thing that almost looks like a flatbed, but almost train sized.  I'll get pictures this week and send them.
The last mission president was anti tech so when Atlanta was suppose to get tablets, they didn't.  Supposedly they are getting them soon, but they've been saying that for the past year.
My companion, Sister Sutten,  has decided to do a deep clean since her last companion never did.  Judging by the dead lizard under the shelf, a lot of missionary have had the "I'll leave it for the next group" attitude.
My closet has a secret passage way to the storage room.  My companion didn't know that and this is the second time she's lived there.
I'm in the countryside and the air's clear here.  This week hasn't even been very humid.  There's also a dehumidifier in our basement that helps.  My asthma is doing a thousand times better that I was expecting.  We haven't finished dusting yet so we'll see how that goes.  But my allergies are doing well.
Other news, the Sister that was here before me went home to Africa and couldn't take everything with her.  Now have three more skirts and blouses.  I also inherited a scarf, a box of chocolate, peanut-butter filled pretzels and a box of granola bars.
It's about time for me to rap up.  Love you.

And off she goes

She called us at the airport. Her flight left around 8:30 this morning. She said they woke her up at 2:00 am to get ready. She didn't go into detail why. Pay phones are a new adventure for her but she figured it out. I'm so excited for her. Thank you to the kind person who took a picture of her and sent it to me. She said she was just getting back from her mission and somone had done that for her. #payitforward

At 7:30 pm that night I got this email.

Hi, just emailing you to say I made it safely to Atlanta.  We get assigned tomorrow. Love you
